A return and some flowers

I have had a brief soiree into the real world hence my lack of blogging for the past 20 days. I wanted to show something by way of an apology so I am giving you, my readership (i.e. myself, when I look at this next week) a lovely bunch of roses.

Well, the truth is I bought these for Chell because I messed up this weekend and didn't call her. There wasn't any excuse for it so I felt I needed to buy her a nice treat - a pretty bunch of flowers did the trick and I was back in the good books (and back into her top 5 - just beneath Ricky Gervais in the rankings - yes, she's that strange).

Anyway, what with everything and nothing to report I think I will sign off. Probably meant to be doing something like rehearsing with Electralyte anyway! Blessings!

Dude, are you the worst photographer of all time? I mean, you couldn't even center the vase???

Welcome back Matt and thanks for the flowers as I, as one of your readers, count them as mine! Hope all's well.

I think you mean a foray, not a soiree, since the latter means a party in the evening, but thanks for the flowers!
Was hoping to come and see E= in B'mouth the other day but was waylaid by bandits.
Love to Chellbert

Thanks to Lord M for the English lesson:) Good english is real important. I'm liking foray and soiree - will try to use them both today.

I think Ricky Gervais is better looking - though you may be his rival in the dance department.

I was talking to Debbie about flowers the other day - I think it can be a tricky area. We're trying to work this out - you see - I'd like to buy her flowers but if she mentions she would like me to buy flowers then I'm only buying them because I've been nagged into it not because I'm spontaneous and romantic. If I buy them after we've had a row then I'm just trying to buy my way into her good books. hmmph! And apparently there is something wrong with roses from Asda - I mean - they're 2.99 - they're a bargain! Go figure!?

Dunc used to get cross with me cos when we first met, about 16 years ago, he often bought me roses, whereupon I hung them upside down in the airing cupboard to dry them out. I can see that he didn't like the fact that, in his words, why bother buying them if you just let them die - the point he still doesn't get is, I still have those roses, because I dried them properly.
Just read that and I spologise for the level of girliness of this comment.
But fellas - may I suggest, just cooking a lovely meal for the woman in your life instead of flowers - as nice as they are, they are very cliche!!!! Auntie Anita has been married for nearly ten years now and has 2 lovely kids - I can advice on any relational matters

It's nice to know that you take health and safety seriously by PAT testing your home appliances. Just a bit worried about plugging your flowers into the mains though:)

Thanks for the flowers. Personally I always give balloon model flowers, it saves money but may be the reason I've been single since the 80s.

Now I know I'm risking getting my husband in trouble with all the lads here - but he's mastered the art of buying flowers spontaneously. So if you're in trouble with your lady, talk to Steve!

And I agree with Anita - cooking dinner (that means having it all planned out and done the shopping for it too, not just turning the gas on) wins double points!
